The Mary Glasgow Trust had for some years been presenting annual Mary Glasgow School Awards - cash prizes - to modern language teaching projects which showed originality and proven success.
In 2000, European Awards for Languages were introduced, and the Mary Glasgow Trust took the decision to become a partner with CILT, the National Centre for Languages, in these annual awards.
As a result, the Trust presents the Mary Glasgow Award – a cheque for £2000 - each year to the EAL winning project which most impresses the Trust’s judges.
